The Clear Skin Alchemy program is set up in a systematic way to educate you on all of the complex underlying causes of acne.

WEEK 8
Hormone Balancing
Hormones are messengers that communicate with all systems in the body. As women, we can constantly experience hormone fluctuations from week-to-week. In this lesson, you’ll learn:
- How estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid hormones can play a role in acne
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and acne
- The birth control pill and acne

I'm Dr. Julie Clark,
Naturopathic Doctor and Founder of the Clear Skin Alchemy Program.
I see you; I understand you and I want you to know that you are not alone. I have dealt with acne as a teenager and as an adult on and off for about 10 years. I understand the emotional burden it feels to have acne pimples, cysts and scarring. I have experienced hiding myself from the world and from social situations when my acne flared up. I felt like I would be judged and not be seen as "good enough" if others saw my skin with acne. I have dealt with the self-deprecating thoughts and insecurities around having acne so visibly for everyone to see on my skin. This took a toll on my mental health and confidence when dealing with breakouts.
Once I attended naturopathic medicine school, I was able to learn all of the natural tools to finally heal my skin. When I addressed all of the underlying causes and imbalances happening in my body, my skin really began to clear. Shifting my mindset has been a major contributor to successfully healing my skin, for letting go of old thoughts and beliefs, and learning to be more loving and compassionate towards myself.
